Holistic Integrative Bodywork & Massage - See the Difference Experience and Compassion Makes

About The Practitioner

Teresa Brandon Greene grew up in Tennessee. I have a Associates degree in Accounting and Bachelors degree in Business/Office Management with emphasis in accounting. After graduating, I began working as a U.S. Federal Investigator performing background investigations.  I enjoyed the opportunity to travel, meet new people and provide support to others; however, there was a tug at my heart to transition to something different.  I worked in various positions in multiple corporate and self-employed careers.

In 2006, I began attending Cumberland Institute of Holistic Therapies.  I became a Certified Massage Therapist in 2008 and Licensed by the State of Tennessee in February 2009 at which time I started my private practice. In 2011, I became the Administrator and Instructor at Cumberland Institute.  In January 2018, I added the role of Co-Owner of Cumberland Institute and April 2022, became principal owner.

My private massage practice has evolved from working with clients purely for relaxation into more therapeutic work. Clients call my hands "magic" because I am able to find issues, stretch out tight muscles, return range of motion and decrease pain. By providing the tools to reduce pain and keep their bodies healthy, they are excited to get a call/text from me because that means in 24 hours it is their massage time!  The ambience is a quiet, dimly lit, peaceful room, with soft music playing while I massage problem areas and stressed muscles. This intentional time is uniquely tailored to promote relaxation and aid in the healing process.

I believe in massage because it has personally helped me and I have seen it help many others:  I've helped clients regain range of motion using myofascial/integrative/stretching massage techniques.  I've reduced the frequency of sinus headaches and allergy season congestion using lymphatic drainage technique.  I've helped migraine sufferers reduce the frequency and length of their migraines with acupressure, fascia work, stretching and muscular work. I've worked with athletes to reduce their recovery time after races/long training sessions and assisted them through the training season so that they remain healthy, active and competitive. I've assisted clients in their recovery from orthopedic surgeries such as knee replacement, shoulder surgery, and back surgery.

The human body is a miracle and was made to heal.  I enjoy working with the body and assisting it in its journey to heal.   I appreciate being a part of your journey.
